WORCESTER CITY V HARROGATE TOWN - SATURDAY 6th AUGUST 2016
A new season and a new home venue for Worcester as the lengthy exile from the Faithful City continues, seemimgly without end.
The Victoria Ground at Bromsgrove is a far cry form Kidderminster and old hands could see many similarities to good old St George's Lane.
With many new faces in each team and an ailing sound system it was very much a question of guess the players names.
There was no missing the best player on the park though - the venerable Lee Hughes who gave City the lead with an early penalty and then doubled his tally with a neat header just after half time to restore City's lead after a defensive mixture had gifted Harrogate an equaliser.
After Worcester had regained the league Harrogate threw everything they had at the home team and duly gained a worthy point, late in the game.  A good start then to the season for Worcester, and if the unforced errors can be removed from their game, then it could be a good season or not as the case may be.

There were no further updates for 2016/7.  It was a disappointing season culminating in relegation and the decision of the Board to save costs by opting for a further two division drop into the Midland Football Alliance, Premier division.

Many thanks to all those who sent their best wishes during my recent illness (ACS).
