SUMMARY
After a truly awful season the best part is that relagation was avoided. No further comment needed.
WORCESTER City v AFC Wulfrunians - Saturday 11th March 2023
After five wins in the last nine games City had pulled seven points clear of the relegation zone. With Market Drayton already relegated a win would go a long way to help City fans sleep easier at night.
The first half was one way traffic towards the visitors goal but amazingly every shot was saved or otherwise cleared by an overworked defence.
In the second half City finally took the lead when the visiting keeper was left helpless as the ball took a wicked deflection. Wulfrunians soon won a free kick right in front of the City goal and the free shot that followed levelled the scores.
City continued their all out attacking strategy and were rewarded when Elliot Hartley scored with a long range effort. Despite some anxious moments the City defence held firm to leave the final score of 2-1 to City. With only seven games City moved 10 points clear of the last relegation place.
And to cap it all I won the half time 50/50 draw. My first ever such win in 56 years of watching City play.
Tividale v WORCESTER City - Saturday 4th February 2023
A lot has been said and written about the dire performance of Worcester City in the first part of the season. Instead of challenging for top spots City find themselves fighting to avoid the bottom two.
However after two away wins in a row things seem to be improving. This impression being reinforced as a resurgent City made it three away wins in a row. The only goal of the game came from the head of Aaron Roberts who rose unchallenged in the box to nod home a corner early in the same. The Worcester defence restricted the home team to a couple of long range efforts which were well wide to leave the final score of Tividale 0 City 1.
Bewdley Town v WORCESTER City - Saturday 28th September 2023
Following a welcome first win in 2023 at Market Drayton in midweek City moved further away from the bottom with a welcome 1-0 win at Bewdley. Kyonn Evans's turn and finish was the only goal of the match but was enough to secure all the points for City.
WORCESTER City v Whitchurch Alport - Saturday 17th September 2022
After one of the worst starts to a season in the club's history with no wins and only one point to show for all their efforts Worcester parted company with Manager, Tim Flowers, on the15th.
With caretakers in charge wholesale changes were made to the starting line-up for the third home game of the season.

Worcester played towards the City end in the first half and were by far the better team taking a deserved lead with a lovely strike from Bailey Fuller.
The second half was punctuated by a succession of injuries, free kicks and substitutions. This made for a very disjointed effort by both sides. As expected, the visitors pressed forward more and more as the game went on and there was great relief when Taylor-Randle played a great ball through to Sean Brain for City's third league goal of the season.
